Saturdays at L’Auberge

Every Saturday morning, Chef Jean-Marc removes over 500 exquisite hand-rolled croissants from the oven. Made with 100% butter, these rich and flaky pastries are available starting at 9:00. Choose from butter croissants, pain au chocolat, almond croissants, and raisin rolls, but make sure you arrive early or call to reserve, as these delicious treats sell fast! Take a bag to go, or better yet, enjoy them in the authentic French atmosphere of our bistro, perhaps with a warm cafe au lait, traditionally served in a bowl, or a cup of our Parisian-style gourmet hot chocolate.

Specialty Pastries

Inspired by the beautiful shop windows of the finest Parisian Patisseries, L’Auberge is proud to offer a wide selection of stunning house-made pastries and entrements. Each like a miniature work of art, these pastries all combine several elements of traditional French pastry including soft and delicate biscuits, fresh fruit compotes, silky buttercreams, airy mousses, and smooth ganaches. Feeding a larger group? Try one of our new specialty cakes to take home. This week’s feature cake is “The Dream” – a hazelnut based cake with an apricot and passionfruit compote.

Artisan Bread

Perhaps the most essential element of any French bakery, our sampling of traditional French bread is second-to-none. L’Auberge is proud to offer traditional favourites warm from the oven such as pain d’antan, nine grain, country sourdough, olive boule, rosemary apricot, and of course, no French bakery is complete without a rustic white baguette. Enjoy a mini-version in shop with butter, or take one home to savour with wine and cheese from our gourmet shop. We offer buttery brioche in either a half or full loaf to take home, or try a slice in our bistro on Saturday morning as the most delicious french toast. We are always adding new and exciting breads to our weekly rotation, so check back often for an updated bread schedule, or call us to reserve a loaf!
